I was happy to join Infrastructure and Transportation Minister Brian Mason and MLAs David Shepheard and Jon Carson at the announcement of the Yellowhead Trail freeway project.
This project will convert the Yellowhead from an expressway into a freeway without traffic signals. When completed, this expansion will help the numerous commuters from Spruce Grove and St. Albert who use the Yellowhead every day.
Whoop Up Days in Lethbridge
I had an excellent time with my NDP Caucus colleagues in Lethbridge for the Whoop Up Days Family Festival. It's a treat to visit all corners of this great province.
Kicking off K-Days
Our NDP Caucus kicked off this year's K-Days at the Premier's Pancake Breakfast and rode the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation's 'Big Bike' in the parade. I had a great time at both events.
K-Days is a time to celebrate Alberta's heritage. I'm glad that Edmonton Northlands has partnered with the Alexis Nakota Sioux Nation to bring us a number of themed powwows throughout the festival. I hope to see you at the 'Future' themed Powwow at 3PM on Sunday, July 31, which I am humbled to participate in.
All Hands on Deck at the Calgary Stampede
I had a great time joining my NDP Caucus colleagues at the Calgary Stampede. I was able to take part in a number of community events and it was great to experience the Greatest Outdoor Show on Earth! I can't wait for next year.
Supporting LGBTQ+ Rights at Edmonton Pride
It was a delight to join in the festivities at this year's Edmonton Pride Parade.
My New Democrat colleagues and I are committed to championing the rights of all gender and sexual minorities. I'm so proud to be an ally.
